Thank You For The Music, Westlife!
Hey!
As I’m making this post, I can’t help but feel the ache of saying goodbye to one of the best pop bands in history, Westlife. In my case, I am never good at saying goodbyes, but, I would still do this to show my appreciation and deep gratitude of Westlife.

For a boy band, 14 years of being together isn’t easy. Show business is very fickle and most boy bands barely make it to 5 years, so 14 years is already a great achievement. Through those years, Westlife had had tons of wonderful songs. I can still remember watching My Love being played on MTV, and saying to myself “Wow! They’re really good!” Even when going to church as a kid, I can hear Swear It Again and Seasons In The Sun being played on the radio. These are a few of my early memories of Westlife, and I still have lots though.
By now, their final performance on Croke Park would be over. I’m sure they have said their farewell to the crowd for the last time. And, I’m pretty sure the crowd is having a hard time saying goodbye to Westlife as well. Until now, I’m still processing the fact that there is no Westlife anymore. It’s hard when you go to Youtube and see that there are no new posts of Westlife performances or interviews. I’ll miss the time when I’m anticipating their new album and wanting to hear Nicky Byrne’s voice in their songs. It’s really hard when something so good has to end. But, I’m very thankful to Westlife for sharing their music to the world. Only Westlife’s music has ever made me feel like my emotions are on a roller coaster ride. That’s how remarkable they are to me. Personally, what I love about their music is the wide range of themes they want to express. It can be about love, friendship, family, pain, wishes and dreams. Westlife never did fail to amaze me!
Geez, it’s getting difficult for me to continue. Anyway, I’m also grateful to Westlife for giving me strength when I’m having not-so-good-and-quite-awful days. When I listen to their songs or watch their videos, I feel like those bad days can still get better, and I can face those days with a smile on my face. Because of Westlife, I also discovered that I can work hard if I wish to. Last year, I worked hard saving money so I can go to their concert, and that’s the first time I saved so much for something I desire. Haha!
Yeah. I think I’ve said enough. But, I still want to say it over, and over, and over, and over again, THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL 14 YEARS OF SHARING YOUR MUSIC TO THE WORLD, WESTLIFE!
